Bandit Queen is perhaps the finest film music album after the arrival of RD, and easily one of the best ever. "Shahenshah-e-Qawwali" has composed such soul-stirring music, which can make you shiver in awe and joy at the same time. This song, in particular, is Nusrat Saheb's gift to mankind. There will never be another like Nusrat. His is the voice with all possible voices rolling in it. He contained an entire universe in his being, the cosmology of lyricism in his song, could evoke multiple moods and emotions with every rise and fall of his breath. One wonders why he had to die at 48, and one keeps wondering..
