Nothing, after all, is more important in life than a regular supply of tea. It better be milk tea for me, as nothing else would even merit a consideration when the soul seeks chai. My personal favourite, however, would be Calcutta and Ahmedabad, perhaps Gujarat in general, for the chai that refuses to surprise, is consistent in taste and ambition.
Lucknow serves a grand variety for the fussiest of people, but is one of the few cities that never err on sugar (for the mild-mannered that is) and rarely serve a bad tea because of the bottomline.
